Jim Karaman has worked for a variety of hospital and health system brands in his 20-plus-year-long career as a healthcare operation executive. He has specialized in developing and implementing strategic, business and operational initiatives that drive optimal results in complex healthcare organizations.

Karaman served as Vice President of Operations for Hudson Regional Hospital, which is based in Secaucus, N.J. In that position, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of hospital-based, outpatient clinic and physician practice functions. He managed multiple construction and renovation projects and participated in strategic planning, physician recruitment and practice acquisitions.

He previously served as Vice President of Physician and Business Development at the Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack-Meridian Health System. In that position, he promoted team member and leader development and implemented service improvements that increased patient and physician satisfaction and supported volume goals. Before that, he was Vice President of Strategy and Market Development at the Rahway, N.J., location of Robert Wood Johnson Healthcare System where he implemented a number of new programs, including a physician alignment and recruitment initiative. In each of these roles Karaman gained hands-on insights into the innerworkings of various aspects of healthcare practices, notably including profit and loss statement, cashflow analysis and patient acquisition strategy that are extremely valuable.

Karaman earned a Master of Business Administration from Monmouth University; a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Kean University in Union, N.J.; and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Kean University.
